Dr. Nikhil Koushik, C. Psych., ABPP
Nikhil S. Koushik is a doctoral level psychologist with declared competencies in clinical and clinical neuropsychology across the lifespan. He is registered with the College of Psychologists of Ontario. Dr. Koushik is also board certified in child and adolescent psychology through the American Board of Professional Psychology. He has been practicing for a number of years and joined the practice on a part-time basis in 2017.
Nikhil graduated with his PhD from the University of Windsor and then completed a clinical psychology internship through London Health Sciences with an emphasis in clinical neuropsychology. This was followed by a two-year post-doctoral fellowship in pediatric neuropsychology through Alberta Children’s Hospital in Calgary. On fellowship, Dr. Koushik gained initial training and supervision in the assessment and diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASDs).
Nikhil was first employed as a staff psychologist at MetroHealth Medical Center (MHMC) in Cleveland Ohio. In his tenure at MHMC he gained advanced training in the assessment of ASDs through the University of Michigan. He is the founding Director of the MetroHealth Autism Assessment Clinic (MAAC), a clinic that aims to serve the needs of inner city, economically disadvantaged youth. He is currently staff psychologist in children’s mental health at Grand River Hospital in Waterloo.
