Dr. Kris Pryke, C. Psych.
Kris Pryke is a clinical psychologist registered with the College of Psychologists of Ontario. She has a doctoral (Ph.D.) degree in clinical psychology from the University of Waterloo and an Honours Degree in Psychology/Child Studies from Brock University. She also holds a Bachelors of Education. She completed a clinical internship at Hamilton Health Sciences (Chedoke-McMaster) with an emphasis in child and adolescent clinical psychology.
Dr. Kris has worked in children's mental health clinics for over 25 years, including kidsLINK, Chedoke-McMaster Children's Hospital, Grand River Hospital's Child & Adolescent In-patient Unit (CAIP) and Adolescent Outpatient Services. She has often consulted with Trellis Mental Health and Developmental Services (CMHA) as well as Grand River Child & Youth Services.
Dr. Kris has also conducted numerous psychological assessments for many local school boards including the WRDSB, WCDSB, UGDSB. and the GEDSB. She also conducts clinical and mental health assessments for a variety of Children's Aid Societies. She is a founding member of the Wellington Interprofessional FASD Diagnostic Team. For many years she was a board member (and SEAC Rep) for the Association for Bright Children and represented diverse youth on the Equity and Inclusion Committee with the Waterloo Region District School Board.
Dr. Kris has personal experience navigating the special education and mental health systems.
